Subject Matter Expert: Monica Walsh, PT
Ms. Walsh serves as the Senior Vice President of Care Management at Regency Integrated Health Services. Ms. Walsh has 39 years of experience in healthcare, 27 years in long term care and 24 years educating and analyzing the MDS/reimbursement systems and case management processes at a corporate level. Ms. Walsh has established Clinical Reimbursement & Case Management departments in 3 LTC corporations providing education and auditing systems for the RAI process /Medicare/Managed Care/Case Mix and Compliance. Ms. Walsh is a trained Physical Therapist and a graduate of the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland and holds AANAC RAC Advanced Certification.
Subject Matter Expert: Ron Orth RN, CHC, CMAC
Ron Orth obtained a nursing degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1985 and a B. A. in Health Care Administration from Concordia University in 1996. Mr. Orth possesses over 30 years of nursing experience with over 20 of those in the Skilled Nursing industry. Mr. Orth has extensive experience in teaching Medicare regulations to healthcare providers both in the US and internationally. Mr. Orth is currently the Director of Curriculum Design for the Acute and Post-acute Care verticals at Relias. Ron has also successfully completed the Infection Control Officer training through the AHCA.
