About Home Care University
Home Care University is an affiliate organization of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, and is dedicated to providing a variety of educational outlets for the home care and hospice workforce, including e-learning through video, audio, and interactive modules, as well as webinars, whitepapers, and other articles. Our e-learning library includes online courses from Relias Academy and NAHC’s Annual Meeting and Financial Managers conferences. Home Care University is the place to deepen your knowledge base, whether you’re a caregiver, administrator, or executive.
HCU’s e-Learning
NAHC and Relias Learning’s Relias Academy have produced an e-learning program for Home Care University to be your go-to resource for online classes for continuing education in the home health, home care, and hospice industries. We believe that this workforce deserves access to the best information in order to provide the best care.
The information in HCU’s e-learning portal is always being enhanced. To provide a comprehensive library, we incorporate workforce and leadership skills in addition to clinical- , home care- and hospice-related material.
Getting Started with e-Learning
Online education through e-learning courses is easy with HCU! You can start learning in two ways:
Purchasing a subscription to the Learning Management System (RLMS) allows organizations to access all of the education in the HCU e-learning libraries with no additional charge, just select the subscription for the number of users your agency wants to provide education for. Training can be managed and assigned to employees in completely custom ways to suit your organization’s staffing needs. Curricula can then be monitored, tracked, reported, and even incentivized with badges, tokens, gaming elements, and more at the agency level. The RLMS allow administrators to upload agency-specific onboarding and in-service training, automate enrollment tied to triggers (new hires, annual training, license expirations, etc.) and get access to new releases and products including the Pro-on-the-Go series for mobile devices.
Alternatively, learners can purchase courses individually. Browse the libraries of courses by topic and category to find training of interest, or select a profession and state to find out what courses will keep different certifications up to date. Additionally, using the search function for various medical conditions can yield a list of related clinical or non-clinical courses specifically for those conditions.
