Legislative, Regulatory, and Legal Update 2020: A Very Busy Time in Washington Once Again is proudly presented to you by National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.
Description:
PDGM, hospice carve-in, RCD, U-PAC, VBP, rural add-on, and CMPs were a big part of the expected landscape for home health services and hospice in 2020. Then, the Covid-19 pandemic changed the world and home care and hospice, like the rest of health care, was turned inside out. Suddenly, we were faced with radical changes in patient volume, case mix, reimbursement results, cost increases, and the endless search for PPE. CMS undertook a series of regulatory waivers and the institution of Advance Payments, while Congress stepped in with nearly $3 TRILLION in business and employee supports, including a $100 billion emergency fund for health care providers and SBA loans for most businesses. Where is this all going? This traditional opening session brings Congress, the White House and federal agencies to the forefront with up-to-the-minute details on the legislative, regulatory, and legal actions. 2020 is a very unique year!
