This General Session presents a diverse group of leaders in health care, including home care and hospice, who offer their views and insights on the growing opportunities for health care at home. The pandemic has triggered a shift of health care into patient’s homes, blending high touch and high tech more than ever before. Physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, managed care organizations, and many others have entered into home care partnering with existing home care companies and, sometimes, creating new competition. The 2021 Leadership Panel will address the quickly changing culture of care and the care marketplace. Embracing and maximizing these unprecedented opportunities is the focus!
Objectives:
- Identify how and where health care priorities are shifting to patients’ homes.
- Describe the necessary considerations when evaluating new opportunities.
- Discuss the organizational and financial strategies needed in deciding on whether to partner or compete in the new world of health care at home.
