Forbes Magazine recently published an article saying burnout has become an international crisis. This was true for healthcare long before Covid-19 arrived. Causes include inadequate support, escalating workloads, administrative burdens, & and increasing demands. Burnout is not only about long hours, but also about the fundamental disconnect between health workers and the mission to serve that motivates them. New research has uncovered addressable drivers of homecare worker burnout. The metrics reveal information helpful to leaders to increase employee satisfaction and decrease turnover. “Quietly quitting” habits have entered the workforce, leaving employers searching for effective courageous methods to retain staff. Methods such as quietly hiring & searching for micro clues such as resentment, depression, anxiety, or other mental health challenges will be discussed. This session will also include essential techniques to help improve the bottom line by increasing overall employee morale.
