If you own a home health or hospice agency and you don’t intend to pass it along to a child or other close relative, you need an exit strategy, and no surprise, the sooner you begin to plan for it, the better the outcome. In this session, we’ll cover three of the most important issues to consider: timing, process, and valuation. When is the best time to sell? What variables should you be constantly monitoring to begin to answer this most critical question? How should you go about selling? What steps should you take in advance to get ready, and how should you go about approaching the market? How do you know how much your agency is worth and, perhaps more importantly, how can you maximize the value of what you’ve worked so hard to build?
