Description
Medicare Advantage plans are proliferating amongst Medicare-eligible people, with enrollment doubling since 2007. As a result of this growth, working with Medicare Advantage is becoming an integral part of home health care throughout the United States. This session will help you overcome common problems that agencies have when working with Medicare Advantage plans, including missing authorization timelines; clean claims denials; billing and payment requirements; and reading, negotiating, and enforcing contract terms with payers. You will also learn what measures to look at when you are determining the success or failure of your agency while serving Medicare Advantage patients.
Learning Objectives
• Identify common pitfalls in the contracting and billing processes of
Medicare Advantage.
• Explain new processes and KPIs you can implement in your organization
to ensure prompt and proper payment.
• Evaluate how Medicare Advantage process improvements and
measurements can bring a positive return on investment throughout
other payer populations.
