The in-home care industry took front and center throughout the pandemic shedding light on the important role the Private Duty segment will play in the future. The demand for quality home care services is expected to grow substantially over the next decade. According to longtermcare.gov, almost 70% of Americans turning 65 are expected to need extended services and support at some point, and about 20% will need care for more than five years. A report using data from 1995 to 2014 showed that nearly half of Americans turning 65 will require some form of paid long-term care to keep them in their homes and communities. The pandemic has served as an innovation catalyst for the home care industry and has spotlighted its importance in the health care continuum. Innovation must remain front and center for in-home care providers. This session will discuss some of the unique and innovative solutions organizations outside our industry are using to innovate the care experience and how we can leverage and apply these ideas in the private duty home care community.
