301. Hospice Regulatory and Policy Update is proudly presented to you by National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.
Description:
The hospice world is undergoing dramatic changes as legislators, regulators, and policymakers seek to ensure appropriate oversight and transparency for one of the fastest-growing segments of the Medicare program and explore policy options that could irrevocably change the hospice benefit as we know it today. The (Hospice Outcomes & Patient Evaluation) tool may be implemented next year replacing the Hospice Item Set (HIS) and bringing additional measures to the Hospice Quality Reporting Program. CMS is planning to identify hospices for the Special Focus Program at the end of this year. Expectations regarding compliance with regulations tighten while the number of applicable regulations continues to increase. NAHC’s hospice experts will provide an overview of expanding program integrity efforts, as well as other important issues in hospice, and their implications for the future of the hospice program.
