(2020 AM) 307. Overcoming the 7 Deadly Sins of Social Media

(2020 AM) 307. Overcoming the 7 Deadly Sins of Social Media is proudly presented to you by National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.

Description:

According to the Pew Research Center, more than 80% of family caregivers are online researching health-related information and care options. In addition to websites, caregivers use social media sites, like Facebook, to find resources and information to help them care for their loved one. Social media can be a powerful way for home care and hospice providers to engage with patients, families, and potential patients. Your presence and activity on social media needs to be an extension of your marketing efforts to perpetuate your brand and engage your target audiences. This session will explore seven elements for approaching social media strategically.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply research insights about online behavior and social media use of family caregivers to social media plans;
  • Outline best practices to approach social media strategically and ensure efforts are integrated with broader marketing initiatives;
  • Discuss proven approaches on social media to engage family caregivers in meaningful ways that build brand loyalty.
