The US Bureau of Labor shows 61% home care workers experienced some form of workplace violence, yet 63% did not receive adequate training or resources to cope with the emotional & psychological aspects. As a community of providers, we share the responsibility of ensuring staff safety & quality of care they provide. This session discusses comprehensive safety training; access to mental health services; mentoring programs; & culture of safety & wellness that promote open communication& feedback.
