CMS Interpretative Guidelines for the Home Health CoPs is proudly presented to you by National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.
CMS issued the Final Home Health Conditions of Participation (HHCoPs) which went into effect on January 13, 2018. These HHCoPs contain the first major revision of several areas since 1989. The rule expands standards for patient rights, care planning, and care coordination and creates 2 new requirements -- one for a quality assessment and performance improvement program (QAPI) and another for an infection control program. Join Mary Carr to review and gain an understanding of the important sections of CMS’s Interpretive Guidelines for these new updated regulations that will equip agency staff with tools necessary to help ensure compliance.
Learning Outcomes:
• Gain insight enabling understanding of the interpretive guidelines for the revised COPs (Discussion, lecture, Question, and Answers)
• Describe the key changes to the guidance
• Discuss strategies for compliance with the revised HHCOPs
