The Impact of DOL's Modifications to FLSA Exemptions on Home Health Care Providers and Most Commonly Targeted Pay Practices

The Impact of DOL's Modifications to FLSA Exemptions on Home Health Care Providers and Most Commonly Targeted Pay Practices is proudly presented to you by National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.

Join Littler Shareholder Angelo Spinola, who will survey the changing legal landscape for the home care industry.  He will advise you on how to comply with new regulatory burdens while still operating a successful home care business.  The U.S. Department of Labor issued a new rule that significantly alters the standards for exemption from overtime for executive, administrative, and professional employees. The rule takes effect on December 1, 2016. This program focuses on the rule changes setting a higher minimum salary requirement along with its application to home care compensation practices such as per visit pay. This essential program will help home care and hospice companies prepare for any changes needed in their operations to comply with the new rule and avoid the risks of lawsuits for back wages.  He will also discuss recent litigation trends and the most commonly targeted pay practices in home care and ways to mitigate risk.
