Prevention of Back Injuries

Are you aware that working in healthcare settings presents several hazards to its workers? The Bureau of Labor Statistics noted that in 2020, nursing assistants ranked highest for the incidence of work-related injuries with a rate of 370 injuries per 10,000 workers. Work-related back injuries make up a significant share of back injury reporting. Back injuries can alter your mobility and overall health and be life-changing! Enduring an initial back injury leaves you at higher risk for repeated injury in the future, too.

Preventing back injuries can be managed effectively. With proper training and support in the workplace, you can reduce the threat of this type of injury. This course discusses the basics of back injury prevention. It also discusses proper lifting methods and back strengthening and stretching techniques.
