Improving Behavioral Health Equity: Individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities

Behavioral health equity is the right of all groups of people to have access to health care services and supports that are high quality and affordable (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration [SAMHSA], 2023). Expanding behavioral health equity involves making sure that everyone has a fair and just chance to be as healthy as possible, including people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Refer to the Relias Library for more courses related to behavioral health equity.
