Join the presenters for an overview of their experiences and challenges as a home infusion patient from their perspectives. This engaging presentation will be followed by an overview of a newly designed, collaborative, patient education catheter maintenance tool for home infusion. The tool is being developed together with the Intravenous Nurses Society, Association for Vascular Access, Oley Foundation, Elevate Home, and the National Association for Home Care & Hospice.

Learning Outcomes:

• Engage in a patient's story of living with a central line and home infusions for 28 years
• Describe challenges chronic, complex, disease patients have with current central line education and care of the central line in the home
• Show how providers can support patient independence and patient engagement
• Describe various challenges for the home infusion nurse working with multiple home infusion providers
• Review collaborative effort to develop industry accepted patient catheter maintenance education tool
