OASIS C2: The Next Step in Our Assessment Journey is proudly presented to you by National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.
Our OASIS journey is nearing the end of the second decade. Over those years, there have been several revisions, some with minor impact to wording and others with a significant difference in the intent of questions. However, even with all this experience, we continue to pose questions to CMS on the interpretation of OASIS items. In January of 2017, we will embark on the latest change in OASIS C2. This presentation will outline the changes to the OASIS items from the simple wording changes, variations in the look-back period, and the introduction of three new standardized items. Application exercises will allow the participants to improve their knowledge and provide suggestions to engage their clinicians in this change.
