Hospice Revenue Cycle: Protecting Cash Flow Through Revenue Cycle Processes

Hospice Revenue Cycle: Protecting Cash Flow Through Revenue Cycle Processes is proudly presented to you by National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Thank you. We hope that you enjoy your course.

Hospice providers face substantial changes in Medicare billing requirements that will threaten timely collection of receivables. So it is critical to take time now to examine all revenue cycle processes and identify potential threats to cash flow, along with compliance-related issues. This session will focus on denial management and current techniques to get claims paid. Discussion will also cover GIP concerns, payment denials from CMS, RAC and other audits, managing hospice ADRs, overpayment recoupment, and refund requirements. These threats to cash flow are expected to continue as the Medicare hospice benefit gets more scrutiny from CMS and program integrity contractors.

Learning Objectives

• Identify threats to timely receipt of payment in the hospice revenue cycle and strategies for optimizing the revenue cycle process
• Apply hospice revenue cycle performance benchmarks to make operations more efficient
• Apply strategies for ongoing compliance audits to identify potential problems
